Rectangular compacted Type 8 Litz wire constructions are designed with copper densities from 60 to 75 percent of the cable’s cross sectional area. This type Litz wire is particularly suited for high frequency motor, generator, transformer and inverter windings where limited space necessitates a conductor with excellent fill factor and copper density.
New England has pioneered the development of Type 8 Litz wire designs including square configurations as well as rectangular constructions. Please consult our Engineering Department for Type 8 Litz wire designs requiring specific wire sizes or dimensions.
