Tapes are commonly used in the wire and cable industry as binders to ensure roundness and barriers during stripping. New England Wire Technologies, however, has also developed a process in which tapes are applied and function as the primary dielectric barrier for medical applications. Some of the tapes we work with are: paper tissue, Mylar®, Aluminum/Mylar, Kapton, Aluminum/Kapton, Nomex® and PTFE.
Wire and cable is often served for a variety of purposes—aesthetics, dielectric or as a primary insulation. Textile serve materials stocked at New England Wire include material, fiberglass, aramids, cottons and polyester, however we will special order products for your specific requirements if necessary.
As with any custom cable component, each offering has its own unique characteristics that make the finished product meet your exact requirements.
