Bend radius is the minimum radius a cable can be bent without causing damage to the conductor, insulation, or shielding. Exceeding the recommended bend radius can reduce cable performance, increase signal loss, or lead to premature failure. A common guideline is 5x the outer diameter for static (one time) installations, and 10x the outer diameter for dynamic flexing.
